JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

To understand the business needs of the assigned area of responsibility and to proceed to the development, configurations and delivery of the applications and systems required for efficiency and effectiveness of the business operations

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Key Responsibilities

·       Implement approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provides instructions to subordinates and monitors their adherence so that work is carried out in a skilful manner

·       Monitors the day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures within SLA guidelines

·       Ensure all Operations completed within target timeframe

·       Carry of daily operational jobs in maintaining the system and application stability

·       Ensure that daily jobs on the system are running smooth and the backup of the systems and disaster recovery sites are running without issues

·       Communicates with the business operation of the assigned area of responsibility to identify and to better clarify its business needs

·       Analyses the business needs of the assigned area and supports the introduction of solutions that match the operating needs of the business needs

·       Monitors the local and international trends and best practices in the banking operating systems and proposes relevant improvements for increasing the efficiency and speed of operations

·       Ensure the availability of a consistent and streamlined with unit structure, in order to achieve error-free processing and high turnaround of service

·       Ensure archiving of all documents as per the policies and guidelines for sustainable operational efficiency

·       Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

·       Direct and supervise analysis of data for to establish trends and efficiency/quality opportunities so that any necessary corrective/improvement actions can be applied

·       Review and lead the preparation of statistical reports according to prescribed schedules for use by senior management in decision making processes

·       Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude

·       Ensure the completion of assignments and ad-hoc requirements from business as well as Operations Management per direction
