JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

To understand the business needs of the assigned area of responsibility and to proceed to the development, configurations and delivery of the applications and systems required for efficiency and effectiveness of the business operations

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Key Responsibilities

·       Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

·       Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work

·       Communicates with the business operation of the assigned area of responsibility to identify and to better clarify its business needs

·       Analyses the business needs of the assigned area and supports the introduction of solutions that match the operating needs of the business needs

·       Monitors the local and international trends and best practices in the banking operating systems and proposes relevant improvements for increasing the efficiency and speed of operations

·       Proceeds to the design of the applications required for the satisfaction of business needs according to Bank’s BT architecture, so as to create the rules for the development of the application

·       Develops or modifies the applications when this is required, and ensure that this is aligned with the business requests and architecture design, so as to support the efficiency of the operations

·       Controls and proceeds to the accurate and compatible configuration of the systems and applications defining the values of parameters and adjustments required, so as to enable their effective operation and cooperation

·       Participates in the testing of the applications developed, so as to identify and confirm their efficiency and accuracy prior their release to production

·       Supports the identification of the most suitable vendors that are able to provide quality and cost effective services for the development of application that can’t be developed internally

·       Monitors the efficiency of the applications used in the assigned business area and proceeds to their maintenance and required configuration, so as to support the effective execution of business objectives

·       Monitors the systems / applications malfunctions reported from the Services Center department and controls the resolution of the most complicated, so to assist the operational ability of the business

·       Proceeds to the documentation of all interventions / developments to systems and applications, so as to support the effective knowledge management

·       Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

·       Assists in the preparation of timely and accurate reports of Riyad Bank to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards

·       Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment

·       Performs other related duties or assignments as directed
